It is straightforward, but not overly easy. Motorcycle front brake lines are bad about trapping air during the bleeding process. The best way to do it is to drain out the old brake fluid, and then REVERSE bleed the system by filing it through the bleeder screw, unfortunately, not easy to do at home. Second best is the old two man system like bleeding car brakes. Tapping on the brake hose between opening the bleeder screw will help any air in the line to move into a force out position. If you don't get all the air out, the brake won't work. There is no margin of error on scooter front brakes, the rear drum just doesn't cut it if you are used to using the front brake all the time. Run two full master cylinders worth of DOT4 through it, and you should be fine.
The pump from Whitless is a good price, until you factor in shipping. Pep Boys has it for the same price, without added shipping/handling penalties. Autozone, Checker, Schocks, Kragen, DAPS, Discount, O'Reilly, and related cheap parts chain store tool isles should have it as well. Only buy oil filters from JCW. A full years worth (4), with shipping, is two dollars more than for one dealer filter, if you shop the sale.
